Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager China role in a London education company. They are looking for a Sales Manager proficient in Chinese (for the Chinese market) to become a valuable team member. This individual will be crucial in engaging with Chinese customers and potential clients involved in overseas study programs in China.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Native Mandarin speaker with fluent English communication skills.
  • Extensive work experience in organizing overseas study tours, totaling at least 3 years.
  • Previous experience in hosting Chinese delegates and groups in the UK.
  • Preferably familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, specifically HubSpot.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Teams and Zoom for video conferencing.
  • Expertise in creating travel itineraries and designing products for camps.
  • Experience in recruiting agents and promoting partnerships.
  • Ability to liaise with the Education Bureau and Foreign Affairs.
  • Skilled in managing relationships with Chinese sister schools.
  • Account management of a network of local partners and agents across China.
  • Competence in handling inquiries, securing business deals, and outperforming competitors.
  • Familiarity with task management software, particularly Monday.com.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach to seeking clarification.
  • Strong planning, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Quick thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Articulate in both written and verbal communication.
  • Efficient time management in a dynamic work environment.
  • Capability to work independently and proactively find solutions to arising issues.
  • Demonstrated hardworking and persistent work ethic.
  • A degree is required, and experience in sales, telesales, or appointment setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Expanding the customer base across public, private, and international schools throughout China.
  • Growing the network of agents involved in our operations.
  • Expanding connections within the Education Bureau network.
  • Generating and converting sales inquiries to drive business growth.
  • Leading the development of a professional sales and account management team.
  • Creating comprehensive profiles for our contacts in China.
  • Enhancing community awareness of our organization at the GSA and promoting how we can assist schools in developing global dimensions.
  • Conducting follow-up sales calls and providing quotes based on expert recommendations.
  • Sending reminder prompts at various stages of the sales funnel.
  • Scheduling appointments for our sales team and school transformation experts.
  • Serving as a central and compelling advocate for our brand, our customers, and their overall experience, both on and off-site.
  • Maintaining a conscious and accountable approach, supporting the rest of the business in achieving targeted year-over-year growth and revenue across all regions.
