Construction Sales Manager (plus special projects) - Remote / Home Based c£45k basic plus £7k car allowance and 10% bonus Nationwide travel The Organisation This organisation was established over 125 years ago and sells in over 80 countries worldwide. The supply of minerals is used in a vast array of sectors, including steel, construction, water treatment, agriculture, chemicals, oil & gas and the waste and recycling industries to name a few. The business is forever evolving and breaking into new and emerging markets. The Sales Manager Opportunity A brilliant sales opportunity that requires both key account management and also new business acumen on special projects with emerging markets. It is a home-based role with national travel as well as frequent Teams meetings. You will manage existing contractual relationships with the main manufacturers in the cement industry as well as a small portion of groundworks subcontractors. Day to day management of production vs client demand, distribution and other commercial discussions are regularly held. The other aspect of the role is to work with the commercial director and to open up dialogue with new clients in new and emerging markets examples might be in the agricultural sector or the waste sector. The Ideal Applicant We seek a proven sales professional that has a knowledge of the construction and civil engineering industry. You may well be working in sales for a building material manufacturer or even working for an industrial chemicals business. The role carries both senior level day to day account management of large contracts, predominantly within the concrete industry and minor involvement with ground works sub-contractors. The role also carries a new business element so candidates must be comfortable with making fresh enquiries to prospect customers this is the special projects aspect of the role. It is envisaged that the ideal applicant will come from either building materials in the construction sector, such as aggregates, minerals, chemicals, cement, concrete, asphalt to name a few.
