The Job:

Our long-term rental solution, Rental +, provides clients with flexible finance options and servicing agreements for up to seven years. The Sales Team Manager will have responsibility to manage, coach and develop our teams of Internal Sales Executives and Business Development Executives.

Wider responsibilities will also include:


  • Motivate and incentivise team performance, leading by example and giving insight and guidance where possible.
  • Manage team development, identifying any training needs along with understanding weaknesses and implementing strategies to address the same.
  • Continually drive sales approach to all new starters and provide refresher training when appropriate.
  • Accurately forecast future opportunities and maintain the sales pipeline to ensure that sales are in line with expectations.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies for identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the customer base.
  • Act as the point of escalation, managing any issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all sales and KPI targets are monitored, tracked and achieved.
  • Contribute to and deliver against the Rental+ internal sales strategy annually.
  • Manage all sales reporting to Divisional Director and regularly report on pipeline.
  • Keep abreast of changing market conditions/competitor activity – identifying valuable emerging markets and products.
  • Maintain excellent levels of communication with all staff and external stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, partners etc.
  • Work closely with the Credit Control team to ensure that credit checking and invoicing are carried out effectively and where appropriate, introduce and implement improved processes.
  • Working alongside Marketing to ensure the website is updated with the most appropriate equipment, regular blogs and to ensure it is fully optimised.
  • To undertake weekly sales meeting to review all new enquiries, pipeline, business development activity and marketing activity.
  • Identify and develop key personnel within the team to ensure future success.
  • Complete call listening on a weekly basis to drive continual sales improvement.
  • Ensure CRM and quoting systems are appropriate and being used correctly.
  • Foresee any downturn in market opportunity and conditions that can affect target position and create strategy to move to new verticals.
  • Review all contracts to ensure we are making the required margin across all products and to review the accuracy of contracts is in line with the companies agreed price points.


Essential Criteria:


Candidates must demonstrate that their experience can meet the following criteria:


  • Significant experience in an Internal Sales Team Management role, with a proven track record of setting and managing KPIs for direct reports.
  • Experience of consistently achieving both individual and team sales targets.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence cross-functional teams with strong capabilities to build robust relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience creating or contributing to robust and persuasive client presentations and proposal documentation.
  • Experience working successfully in a busy and diverse environment.
  • Results-driven, positive and engaging attitude towards team members and stakeholders.
