About the role

This is a full time position based in Nottingham, and is an opportunity to join the SAP Technical team of the SAP Centre of Expertise where the latest SAP technologies and ways of working are being leveraged, reporting into the SAP Technology lead. There will be a team of technically skilled people reporting into you, so people management skills are also important. SAP technical knowledge and skills are required in the BTP technologies, especially in the areas of extensibility, integration, eventing, and automation.


You will:

  • Deliver an SAP Clean Core concept
  • Ensure the most appropriate SAP technology is selected for the extensibility requirement given, in line with the SAP Clean Core concept. Therefore, a knowledge of the different SAP development capabilities for extensibility is essential.
  • Ensure the most appropriate SAP technology is selected for the integration requirement given. Therefore, a knowledge of the different SAP BTP capabilities for integration, including integration suite and event mesh, is essential.
  • Ensure User Experience is delivered in the most appropriate manner, considering look and feel, and the most appropriate technology to meet the requirement.
  • Ensure any AI or Machine Learning in SAP is delivered in the most appropriate manner for the requirements.
  • Any code is written in line with standards and security policies.
  • Liaise and develop relationships with the Integration and Automation Centres of Expertise to ensure alignment in approaches and consistency.
  • Lead and give direction to your team; ensure they are supported and given the right skills to succeed.


What you’ll need to have

  • Experience delivering an SAP Clean Core, and the technologies involved in delivering this
  • Experience of SAP BTP technologies in the areas of Extensibility, Integration, Automation, and User Experience
  • Experience of managing and leading a team
  • At least 5 years SAP development or integration experience
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Be able to present difficult technical situations in a way that is understandable for non-technical people


It would be great if you also have
