Job Summary: The SAP Business ByDesign Finance Implementation Consultant role at NTT DATA Business Solutions focuses on delivering expert solutions in the financial domain of SAP Business ByDesign. This role involves leading finance-focused implementation projects, providing strategic consultancy, and offering technical support for clients. Key responsibilities include the configuration, testing, and implementation of finance and project accounting processes within SAP ByDesign, along with managing client engagements and ensuring successful project outcomes. This role demands a versatile skill set, merging technical proficiency with strategic acumen, client-centricity, and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of SAP Business ByDesign expertise, strategic consultancy, project management, and client engagement skills. Duties/Responsibilities: • Finance Implementation Support: Lead client implementation projects with a focus on finance and project accounting. Troubleshoot and resolve complex financial configurations and ensure smooth project delivery. Serve as the lead consultant for finance-related distressed projects. • Technical Configuration & Development: Configure, test, and implement SAP Business ByDesign’s financial modules, ensuring accurate alignment with client business processes. Author solution design documents and technical requirements specifically for finance-related developments. • Finance Project Management & Consultancy: Manage and deliver finance-focused SAP ByDesign projects on time, ensuring effective resource planning. Provide strategic finance consultancy by analysing customer requirements and mapping them to SAP Business ByDesign financial solutions. • Quality Assurance & Documentation: Ensure the quality of finance-related technical developments and solutions by signing off before UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Maintain comprehensive documentation, including financial system configurations, and ensure it meets the highest standards. • Client Interaction & Training: Provide finance-focused training and support to clients. Respond to client finance-related queries in a timely manner, guiding them through corrective steps and process improvements. Assist the Presales team with financial workshops and business requirement reviews. • Finance-Specific Problem Solving: Resolve challenging finance-related support tickets by analysing financial processes, troubleshooting configurations, and providing timely, innovative solutions. • Mentorship & Development: Mentor and guide junior consultants in the area of SAP ByDesign Finance, ensuring the continuous development of team expertise in finance modules. Required Skills/Abilities: • SAP ByDesign Finance Expertise: In-depth experience with SAP Business ByDesign, with specific expertise in configuring and implementing financial modules (e.g., general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, tax, project accounting). • Financial Consultancy: Strong strategic finance consultancy background, with experience advising clients on financial best practices and complex financial processes within SAP ByDesign. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with finance stakeholders, conducting workshops, and mentoring finance consultants. • Problem-solving in Finance: Ability to analyse and resolve complex finance-related issues, troubleshoot financial configurations, and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner. • Project Management in Finance: Proven experience managing finance-related SAP ByDesign projects, ensuring deadlines are met, and effectively collaborating with finance teams and stakeholders. • Documentation & Compliance: Proficiency in creating and maintaining finance-specific documentation, solution designs, and technical requirements, while ensuring adherence to financial compliance standards. • Client-Centric Finance Approach: Strong commitment to client satisfaction with a focus on delivering effective finance solutions, training, and timely support for financial queries. • Continuous Financial Learning: Eagerness to stay up-to-date with SAP ByDesign finance developments, trends, and certifications, particularly in finance and accounting processes.
