Job Description
My client, a Software Development Consultancy, are working with a Public Sector organisation who are looking for one or two Cloud (Azure) Service Consultants with active SC Clearance to lead the design & development of the supporting services, to enable business users to use their new Cloud Data & Analytics Platform & Tools.
You will need a strong knowledge of the Azure platform and its tools/services, in order to advise on the most appropriate tools, best approaches, and cost/security implications within an Azure Cloud environment.
What you will be doing:
- Providing strategic guidance on the transition to Azure data services for analytical Platforms and Tools.
- Providing support for existing service offerings across the D&A Platform strategy implementation.
- Leading the design & development of new analytical capabilities and services for supporting cloud services to business users as part of the updated operating model for the Enterprise Data Platform.
- Delivering the new capabilities and services considering time, budget and quality.
- Reporting progress against plans to the key stakeholders
- Building key internal and external networks in order to hold effective discussions.
Experience Required:
- Strong knowledge of the Azure platform and its tools/services.
- Designing and implementing Target Operating Model (TOM) for Cloud Data Platforms and analytical services.
- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Ability to form strong stakeholder relationships and to hold credibility at senior management level, influencing both business & technical decisions
- Adept at planning and strategic thinking, demonstrating forward planning of work.
- Ability to identify and deploy appropriate resources to deliver against agreed requirements from the solution design.
Location: Hybrid / London (1-2 days per week on-site)
Rate: £575 - £625 / day Inside IR35
Contract: 6 Month inital engagement (+ likely extensions)
