Commissioning Engineer - SCADA
Location: Manchester, with site visits throughout the UK
Start date: April 2023
Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)
Rate: £60-£70 per hour, outside IR35
Key words: SCADA, control systems, commissioning, high voltage, transmission and distribution
Turner Lovell are recruiting a Commissioning Engineer with an excellent working knowledge of SCADA, to work on large energy transmission projects throughout the UK. The right candidate will have vast experience with SCADA design, testing, configuration, and implementation along with the ability to provide technical SCADA expertise/query handle throughout the entire process.

Duties:
To design, test and develop SCADA systems to then implement on large HV projects, throughout the UK
To drive & manage workflow and all associated documentation during the test sequencing and configuration phase of the projects
To be able to test and troubleshoot on site, to ensure packages are meeting requirements
To direct, develop & provide technical solutions throughout the electrical & communication system design processes
To provide expertise regarding IEC61850, IEC60870-5-101 / 104 protocols & work with open communication protocols
Requirements:
CSCS Black/Gold Card
Working knowledge of C&P systems & commissioning
5 years' experience as a Commissioning Engineer in the electricity, renewable energy, or construction sector
Experience working on large UK SCADA package projects
Degree or Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Strong understanding of IEC61850, IEC60870-5-101 / 104 protocols
