Role: Scala Developer
Duration: 12 Months
(Inside IR35)
Location: UK Remote
Our client a leading Bank is looking for a Scala Developer for an exciting long-term contract. This is a brilliant opportunity with one of our best clients.
Key Responsibilities:
New service Account Creation set up for SPP Project
Move the code changes (Hadoop Spark/Scala) that are done in test environment to pre-production
Running the jobs (Spark) and generating extract in pre-production
NFT testing and fetching approval in Pre-Production
Preparing Release notes and scheduling Change Request
Implementing Change request and deploy the changes in production.

EDH experience, also if exists would be helpful.
Experience using the Apache Spark data processing framework.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as Maven, SBT, Jenkins, GIT, Nexus, UrbanCode
Experience working with the Hadoop framework, and an understanding of the common modules and their inner workings (e.g. HDFS, Yarn, Hive, HBase and Kafka)
Experience with Big Data or analytics projects
Strong SQL, ideally with both relational and dimensional data modelling experience.
Ensure that communication to the business is professional, clear and appropriate.
A good understanding of design and software engineering principles
A dedication to writing clean, understandable code.
Understanding of testing concepts, methodologies, and processes
Keen advocate of Agile methodologies
Hardworking supporter of Test/Behaviour driver development (TDD/BDD) approaches
Experience:
Minimum 5 to 6 years of development experience
Experience in Financial Services
