Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the national curriculum, making science exciting and accessible to students
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for science through hands-on experiments and interactive activities
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement
- Collaborate with other teachers to create cross-curricular projects and enhance the learning experience
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and empathy
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to address any concerns or issues
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in science education and implement innovative teaching methodologies
- A degree in a science-related field, with a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.)
- Previous experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passionate about science education and committed to providing high-quality teaching
- Well-organized and able to effectively manage time and resources
- A track record of creating engaging lesson plans and delivering interactive and hands-on activities
