Job Description

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on student performance
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Science
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Prior experience teaching science at the secondary school level

  • Strong understanding of scientific concepts and principles
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Proficient in using educational technology in teaching
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

The role involves working in a secondary school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. Regular working hours are typically from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with additional time required for lesson planning and grading. The position may also involve participation in extracurricular activities and parent-teacher meetings.
