Salary: £120 to £180 per day

Responsibilities of a Secondary SEN English Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging English lessons for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes participation, collaboration, and respect.
  • Regularly assess student progress in English and use data to guide your teaching decisions.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to the individual needs of each student, providing additional support or challenge as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure student success and well-being.

Qualifications and Requirements of aSecondary SEN English Teacher:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) , NQT or equivalent certification.
  • Degree in English / other relevant degree preferred
  • Proven experience teaching in a secondary school setting, preferably with experience across multiple year groups (ECT's encouraged to apply!).
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
