Job Description Are you passionate about cyber security with a desire to learn and explore new skills? Legal and General is looking for a new Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Team in London. You'll be supporting the management of Security Operations, Security Incidents and Infrastructure Security for Legal & General.  Using the latest threat intelligence to inform daily activities and proactive threat hunts to detect and respond to threat actors, you'll also work alongside other security analysts and security professionals with the aim of making L&G a harder cyber target.   This is the ideal role for a Security Analyst looking for their next career move - please read on for more information! What you'll be doing Providing technical security expertise in response to security incidents occurring within L&G on a 24x7 basis Working in conjunction with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) service provider to provide Level 3 security event monitoring across Legal & General (e.g. collating security events gathered across sources, triaging events and managing security events as required to help ensure these are responded to in a timely and effective manner) Configuring security tools to design and implement use cases to ensure L&G has a mature level of detection and response Providing a Level 3 response (inputting technical and business expertise) for various security events and incidents such as intrusion, malware infections, network breaches and denial of service attacks to help ensure these are managed in a timely and effective manner Assisting in any required management information creation and collation such as dashboards for leadership and application owners to help ensure that risk events and changes in trends are easily detected and reported on Qualifications What we're looking for A working knowledge of tools used in detection and response such as XDR/EDR, Network Monitoring, SIEM A strong willingness to learn and seek out new skills beyond your current expertise An understanding of threat intelligence and how it can be used within Security Operations to build mature detection and response. An awareness of new and emerging threats with an ability to build in detection capability around this knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to exercise mature judgement Any certifications in infrastructure, networking or malware analysis would be beneficial Applying for the role If this sounds like your next career move, please submit a CV and covering letter outlining your passion for cyber security and fit for the role Additional Information When you commit to Legal & General, we’ll commit to you too.
