Job Summary


As a Smart Buildings Solutions Designer within the Pre-Sales Bids team at LMG, your primary responsibility will be to scope, design, cost, and craft proposals for integrated smart building solutions, specifically focused on security systems, aligning with and surpassing the business needs of our clients.


LMG prioritizes the implementation of robust security solutions as an integral part of smart building deployments. This role involves hands-on participation in designing and delivering physical security aspects within smart building design and construction projects. It requires ensuring adherence to client specifications and facilitating a seamless transition to ongoing support after project completion.


The scope of this role encompasses the entire pre-sales process, from the initial inquiry phase to project award. It is suited for individuals experienced in designing and estimating security solutions, with a knack for tendering. Strong analytical skills, coupled with a deep interest in technology, will be essential for contributing to the technical design of security-focused smart building projects across various segments such as enterprise, hospitality, residential,and data centers. Your role will ensure alignment with client expectations and a smooth transition to project delivery and ongoing operational support.


Working collaboratively with teams across the business, this role has significant scope for personal development and progression and will give considerable exposure to the varied technologies and systems that we operate, opening a variety of routes for future career progression.




Qualifications:


Essential

  • Minimum 5 A*-C GCSE's, including Math's or English.
  • Valid DBS Check


Desirable

  • Accreditation's in recognised manufacturers and/or memberships of other relevant bodies within the Smart Buildings industry.


Experience:


Essential

  • At least 5 years relevant practical experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working within Smart Building systems that operate over electronic securitysystems.
  • Experience in the design and build of security solutions for enterprise, data centre and campus fit-out projects.


Desirable

  • Awareness of Audio Visual, ICT Infrastructure, IoT, and Wired & Wireless Network architecture.
