Our client, an independent accountancy practice, is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a established practice with a good reputation for high-quality personal service.
The role will predominantly be accounts preparation and audit work but will also involve management accounts and drafting corporation tax computations. The accounts are completed mainly in-house but some may be carried out at client premises therefore a driving licence is essential.
The ideal individual will have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and will work well in a small friendly team environment.

- Working hours Monday to Friday 37 hours per week OR part time 25 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing accounts to TB level for a mixed portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Drafting corporation tax computations
- Bookkeeping
- Management accounts
- Attending audits including leading junior members on audit fieldwork
- Liaising with clients
Skills and experience required:
- AAT / ACCA part qualified or QBE
- 2 years experience in an accounting position within practice
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with accounting software – Xero, Quick Books, Sage and CCH desired
- Good working knowledge of accounting procedures
- Extremely organised and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a small team
