Responsibilities of a SEN English Teacher:
- Create dynamic and interactive English lessons tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of your students.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages active participation, collaboration, and mutual respect among students.
- Regularly evaluate student performance in English and use data analysis to inform your instructional decisions.
- Differentiate your teaching approach to address each student’s unique requirements, providing additional support or challenging tasks as necessary.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure student success and well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements of a SEN English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), NQT, or equivalent certification.
- Degree in English or another relevant field (preferred).
- Proven experience teaching in a secondary school setting, preferably across multiple year groups (ECTs encouraged to apply!).
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and commitment to promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
