Job description SEN TutorMacclesfield.Prospero Teaching are currently looking for SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 support to a young people with complex needs in Macclesfield.The OpportunityProspero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.We are currently looking for an experienced 1:1 SEN Tutor to support students with complex needs, who are currently out of school and not receiving education. Tuition is needed to support students with the core subjects of Maths and English, although some of the students that require tuition have never received any formal education due to their complex needs, therefore, are working at the lowest level possible.Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN.Position Details: Location: MacclesfieldPosition: 1:1 SEN TutorHours: 10 hours per weekTimetable: 5 days per week, 2 hours per dayStart date: ASAPDuration: ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS or equivalentExperience working with students with complex needsHave experience working with SEND or disengaged pupilsUK classroom teaching experienceBe creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 SEN Tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide two professional child-related references.
