Overview

Our Connected Innovation Solution (CIS) team is seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive (SAE) who is passionate about helping companies innovate. As an Account Executive, you will engage with prospects across a wide range of industries and use our best-in-class sales process to sell our industry leading connected innovation intelligence solutions to innovation professionals in IP and R&D. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to “flex” your sales muscles, while pitching to the world’s leading innovators.

What you will be doing?
  • Collaborate with internal resources to build, manage and convert enterprise-level organizations.
  • Identify the right opportunities to plan and convert into long-term customer relationships.
  • Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, as well as sales-related KPIs
  • Build your industry presence utilizing PatSnap’s Marketing and Innovation Academy.
  • Effectively manage a sales process that includes travel and virtual presentations.
  • Develop and possess strong knowledge of PatSnap’s offering, as well as a deep understanding of the customer processes in the fast-growing IP service/software industry.
Requirements:
  • Experienced - 10+ years of business development and B2B sales experience, ideally within a high-tech environment
  • At least 5 years of SaaS sales at an enterprise level
  • Proven track record of success, consistently exceeding targets
  • Experience in selling complex solutions, consultative or solution selling skills are a must
  • Professional or IP services background will be an advantage
  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and managing complex sales processes
  • Good network to deciders in manufacturing industry (e.g. electronics, machinery, automotive)
  • Curiosity – Seek to understand how things and companies work and what prospects want
  • Excited by technology, related business challenges and analytics
  • Know how to handle different buyer personas
  • Active listener and compelling storyteller
  • University Degree in management, business economics or equivalent
  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
