Senior Accountant
Nottingham (South Nottinghamshire)
£40,000 - £50,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our client's East Midlands hub office. You will be part of a dedicated team working on audit and accounts assignments both in-office and at client locations. Description of the role:
- Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for larger, more complex clients.
- Prepare year-end accounts under FRS1021A and FRS102, including some consolidations.
- Prepare corporation tax computations for inclusion of tax provisions in accounts.
- Take a senior role on audit assignments, including planning, identifying audit risks, developing an audit plan, managing on-site audits, reviewing fieldwork, and supporting the RI.
- Provide support, training, and supervision to students and junior staff.
- Review work completed by junior staff before submission (e.g., VAT returns, CIS returns, control of registers).
- Attend weekly team briefing meetings to report on work status and plan future assignments.
- Complete other ad-hoc tasks to support the business advisory services, such as financial forecasting, share valuations, and due diligence work.
About you:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with an AAT qualification.
- Experience using Sage and Xero.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- High level of general computer literacy, including advanced Excel skills.
