This person will demonstrate their willingless to grow and further their career and to join a consultancy and professional services company undergoing strong growth.The ideal candidate for this role will be someone seeking to take their next step in their finance career within a commercial business. They will be looking to gain experience at an intermediate level within a team and to build on their knowledge they have gained to date, preferably from education and a prior role. The role is hands on, transactional, and is pivotal to the proper running of the company’s finance function. As such, the candidate must be able to stay extremely organised whilst dealing with multiple processes and able to work efficiently and accurately. The main function of the role is to provide financial accounting support to the Financial Accountant and CFO.Requirements Updating management spreadsheets and keeping control of the invoicing processes Filing of Consultant and Supplier invoices, correspondence and general filing Dealing with queries from suppliers and liaising with other staff members across the business on a daily basis to clear queries and complete processes Supporting the Financial Accountant and Head of Finance with ad-hoc duties from time to time Posting journals relating to bank transactions Intercompany reconciliations Assisting with timely completion of all statutory returns including VAT, PAYE and IR35 Intermediary reporting Assisting with 18-day cash flow forecast Assisting with calculating annual PAYE settlement and P11D(b) Assisting with preparation of corporation tax returns Assisting with IR35 Intermediary reporting Undertake any other reasonable management request, which may from time to time be required in connection with the business. Assisting the CFO in preparation for annual audit ensuring all information is complete and ready for the external auditors, ensuring no audit issues arise and no incurring of additional fees due to poor preparation. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported including Manage nominal ledger input, journals, accruals and prepayments Posting & reconciliation of monthly billing, purchase ledger and leased purchase records Completion of bank account reconciliations Maintain standing data for Sage, Payroll, VAT etc systems Monthly Balance Sheet/control account reconciliations to validate balances Up to date fixed assets and depreciation. This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
