Job Description

Commercial Senior Asbestos Surveyor

A rapidly expanding South East-based asbestos inspection, testing, and remediation company is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor. This company prides itself on its commitment to quality and integrity, specialising in asbestos surveying for refurbishment and pre-demolition projects in various construction settings. The work is entirely commercial on properties such as hotels and pubs. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional dedicated to high standards of work. This role is based in Hertforshire

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition surveys on both commercial and domestic buildings.
Perform re-inspections and update the asbestos register and management plans.
Adhere to Health & Safety standards, regulations, and codes of practice regarding asbestos.
Operate within company policies and quality systems to ensure UKAS accreditation.
Travel to client sites across the UK as needed.

Skills and Knowledge

Qualifications: BOHS P402 or higher.
Licences: Full driving licence required.
Desirable Training and Certificates: CSCS, Asbestos Medical Certificate, Face Fit Certificates, and working at height.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with technology, including on-site data collection tools, email, and calendar use.
Legal Requirements: Proof of Right to Work in the UK and the ability to pass a DBS check.
Personal Attributes: Meticulous attention to detail, professional manner, strong work ethic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting asbestos surveys.
Experience in refurbishment and demolition surveys on commercial and industrial units.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 (flexible)
Overtime: Opportunity to earn additional income through overtime.
