SENIOR AZURE DATA ENGINEER UK BASED - HYBRID WORKING OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO BATH, LEEDS OR MANCHESTER OFFICE SALARY = £65,000 + BONUS AND BENEFITS My client is a global manufacturing organisation who provide critical equipment to various industries including; Oil and Gas, Water and Power and Chemical producers. They are moving their data services from on-premis to Azure and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who can help to lead and deliver this change. Job Description: This role will drive the maturity of the Business Intelligence function by leading the efficient and reliable flow of data within the organisation. Sitting within the Development Team, the Senior Data Engineer will own the design, development, and management of the systems for collecting, storing, and analysing large volumes of data. They will take responsibility for creating data pipelines, optimising databases, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and governance. The Senior Data Engineer will have skills predominately in Azure - with a solid background in on premises, before more recent exposure to cloud, and they will be confident in collaborating with cross functional teams to understand data requirements to be able to deliver solutions that meet business needs. This role would suit a technical expert ready to bring ideas to the table and help shape the future of BI in the organisation. Experience Requirements: • Demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure services. • Expert across Azure; Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse and the Microsoft BI stack • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems For more information, please apply with your latest CV!
