Job Purpose:


As a senior business analyst, you will be highly skilled and experienced within the agile and product development process. You will have the drive and adaptability to take on new challenges and quickly become the subject matter expert on our new Lifeplus.com website.

A key purpose of this role is to support the BA manager in delivering the agile ways of working via best practice, whilst maintaining flexibility to support the business on this journey.


The role will include but is not limited to:


  • Lead business analyst activities for www.lifeplus.com in capturing business requirements/needs and decisions of key stakeholders and translate these into working stories for refining with delivery team (BE & FE).
  • Take lead of web refinement sessions to ensure that product owner, development & test team are all in align with their understanding of the business requirement.
  • Assist the BA Manager in implementing agile methodologies within the business and promoting best practices for product delivery for Lifeplus.
  • Support mentorship of other BA’s in ways of working for project and product delivery.
  • Lead workshops/meetings with cross functional teams to identify business needs and analyse core business processes with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Work with UX/UI designer to ensure business requirement is understood and to help produce mock-ups/wireframes to act as a playback with the business stakeholders/SMEs.
  • Deliver show & tells/release demo’s, to playback to stakeholders/SMEs any developments to support the completion of meeting the business needs.
  • Capture the As-Is and To-Be for the business and be able to clearly document any outputs that will help support future understanding for changes to solution.
  • Have the ability to look at problems holistically, identify upfront where changes will impact any other existing or new processes and put solutions in place to mitigate/enhance any impacted services.
  • Support leading the team to help manage the product backlog in Jira and deliver prioritised user stories. Including at times taking on the role of Product Owner/Manager, when required.
  • To provide support to the business analyst manager to develop best practice standards, tools, and techniques to deliver a BA toolkit across the organisation.
  • Deputise for the Business Analyst manager in their absence.
  • Work closely with the test team to ensure understanding of requirements and providing testable acceptance criteria to aid with converting user stories to test cases.


Candidate Profile:


  • Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • Completed IIBA/CBAP qualifications, or equivalent.
  • Highly experienced in delivering change in an e-commerce/website environment.
  • Strong knowledge of API’s/services/data transfer and can demonstrate the ability being comfortable in discussions with technical teams and documenting these.
  • Understanding and practical experience of implementing with different delivery methodologies e.g. Iterative, Scrum etc.
  • Worked with overseas development and stakeholder teams.
  • Experience of having to adapt your way of product & project delivery to meet an organisations culture.
  • Have experience in documenting requirements for developers working with AWS, React.js UI design and API’s.
  • Has previous experience in being able to connect back and forth with new and legacy systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; high level of emotional intelligence – ability to read stakeholders and adjust communication style accordingly
  • Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, with ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a smart way – only running meetings that are thought through and add value, creating ‘just enough’ documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, whilst being able to maintain a positive approach; always looking for solutions from the outset.
  • Critical thinking and ability to solve complex problems.
  • A proven ability to assess the wider impact of change, based on initial requirements.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Professional at all times, using a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • An open flexible working style is key, with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly.
  • Adaptable with the ability to work in a “start-up” environment; ability to cope with the unknown and unexpected, as well as the routine, and able to work with incomplete and conflicting information.
  • Experience in software tools such as Jira, SharePoint, MS Teams & Office 365 and Lucid charts or Visio.

Hours and Days:


  • Monday – Friday 09:00-17:15 (37.5 Hours per week)

This role involves a mixture of home and office working from our St Neots office
