Job Description

Overview

At the RSC we are on an exciting journey to enhance our digital ecosystem through the implementation of our Identity project and we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help us with it. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will join our existing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. This 2-year fixed-term contract offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact by driving improvements and innovative solutions.

As a part of the Identity project, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the existing websites’ architecture, features, and user flows.
  • Analyse the impact of migrating to the new Identity system and identify potential challenges.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Service Owner to develop a comprehensive migration plan, including phased implementation and testing.
  • Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements.
  • Create document user stories, use cases, and process flows related to Identity system integration.
  • Ensure alignment with security protocols and compliance standards.
  • Serve as the liaison between technical teams, business units, and external vendors.
  • Work closely with system owners to map existing user data to the new Identity system.
  • Work with the team to define data migration strategies and ensure data integrity during the transition.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement data transformations.
  • Work with the Test Lead to develop test scenarios and addressing any issues or defects during the testing phase.
  • Create training materials and conduct sessions for end-users and administrators.

 Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems, analyse data, and provide practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques, such as interviews, workshops, user stories, and process modelling.
  • Familiarity with and ability to create BPMN diagrams to represent workflows and business processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK and that you will attend the office on an ad-hoc basis.
