Job Description

Purpose of this role is to thoroughly test the integrity and accuracy of formulas within complex excel workbooks used for financial calculations, management accounting and reporting. Analyzing the data, build and maintain financial model, identify trends and create reports to support Investment Decisions.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, understand the purpose and requirements of the Excel workbooks being tested.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the performance of existing properties and investments.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of Excel workbooks including Business Ts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of underlying calculations and formulas, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation of all identified issues Communicate findings and recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of process to the Head of Real Estate Client Accounting. Work independently to meet testing deadlines and deliverables within the specified timeline of the fixed-term contract.
  • Stay abreast of real estate market trends industry best practices and relevant accounting standards (UK/US GAAP, IFRS)
  • Craft reports and presentations to communicate complex financial information to stake holders at all levels. Document testing procedures, results and any identified issues in a clear and organized manner. Identify and resolve errors or discrepancies. Report any errors, inconsistencies or anomalies in the workbooks, including potential risks to financial data integrity.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, VBA, MS Access/ SQL Server, Power BI Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced knowledge of formulas, functions and data manipulation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast - paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze and suggest resolutions or suggest better solutions to the process.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks manage deadlines and ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations.

Preferred skills:

  • Prior experience in software testing, quality assurance, financial analysis or accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT or a related field Proficiency in spreadsheet review and comparison tools
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
