Key Responsibilities New Business Development & Client Relations  Drive the acquisition of new accounts; achieving your individual sales quotas in target market segments Build a comprehensive and effective territory plan and successfully execute the agreed sales strategy within the region Identify, build and maintain relationships with new clients, understanding their needs, and aligning our solutions to address their challenges effectively Identify new business opportunities through the understanding of new markets, growth areas, trends, and what our competitors are doing in terms of, product offering and services Follow and help to optimise scalable sales and presales processes across the business to accelerate our growth in agreed market segments Follow best practices with the CRM and metrics more generally; utilise analytics and performance metrics to monitor progress, evaluate effectiveness of your sales strategies, and identify areas for self-improvement. Ensure the CRM is an up to date reflection of opportunities at all times Build and deliver high quality and effective pitches, closing and securing new contracts prioritising opportunities that directly lead to significant revenue growth  Attend key client meetings, offering strategic guidance and advice in an effort to strengthen the relationship and offer the best possible service and results Represent Biorelate at talks and conferences, networking on a regular basis, travelling as necessary to interact with prospective customers as well as attending company meetups in the UK (quarterly) and other events on a regular basis  In collaboration with others in Sales and Marketing, develop innovative and effective communications materials to support your business development activity Product/Technical   Communicate the Company’s products and services, technical capabilities and expertise to existing and potential new audiences, ensuring an effective feedback loop with the product team as required Truly understand the Company’s products and show real passion when in the service concept of the role to enforce and strengthen successful business development opportunities Proactively gather market intelligence and develop detailed market insights in order to recommend new relevant ideas for expanding the Company’s technical capabilities Other ad hoc duties as required.  Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Demonstrable consistent, proven success in new business sales within Biotech/Pharma/Life sciences  in a technical SaaS environment, including preferably, some experience in a startup company Strong technical mindset; skilled and proven to be successful at business development in a highly technical field whilst maintaining strong sales focus on achieving targets   Willingness to keep up with technology trends, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and driving initiatives to fruition Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Experience with CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management and analytics Scientific academic background desirable but not essential  Benefits Generous commission scheme Fully remote role (reasonable level of travel required, including to Manchester each quarter) Share Options 25 days holiday  Biorelate was founded in 2014 from cutting-edge scientific research into how biomedical curation can utilise existing dark knowledge to accelerate future drug discovery.
