As a Senior Buyer, you’ll look at ways of upholding quality, whilst driving down cost. At NPL, we touch ordinary lives in extraordinary ways, what if you could too? What you'll be doing: By making efficiencies, we’re able to invest more in the business, our people and our future. You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of products, materials or services overseeing the entire buying lifecycle – from the tender process until the order is placed. Identifying, managing, negotiating with and monitoring suppliers will be a key aspect of your role – so building good relationships will be key. You’ll then keep track of orders to ensure they’re delivered on time, at cost and to the expected quality, keeping the procurement system up-to-date at every stage. You will also answer any queries and resolve any issues as and when needed. Equally, you’ll take pride in furthering your own development and skills in line with any developments and legislation changes. We are working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working.
