Senior Buyer – Residential Developer
Salary: up to £55,000 + Package
Location: Bucks
Region: Buckinghamshire
My client, a leading UK residential developer specializing in luxury high-end traditional build houses and apartments, is looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Buyer to step into a Senior position for their prestigious developments within the home counties.
This is an office-based position where you will report into the Commercial Manager and work closely with the procurement team on their current and new residential developments of almost 200 new build homes.
As a Senior Buyer, you will be procuring materials to meet the build programme of this project.
Some of your duties in this role include:
- Procuring brickwork, carpentry, and sanitary materials
- Hiring plant e.g., cabins, forklifts, fencing, cranes, etc.
- Compiling monthly reports on budgeting control for all materials
- Resolving supplier disputes
- Supporting the estimating team with pre-tender quotations and resolving material specification issues
Experience Required:
- At least 5 years of procurement experience with a residential property developer
- Experience with procuring materials for new concrete builds
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques
- Comprehension of building, environmental, and disability standards
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of stable UK employment with residential construction experience at a recognized developer
