Software Engineer C++ - Hybrid

We are currently looking for a Senior C++ Engineer to join an award-winning technology company based in Central Birmingham, to work on a large-scale cloud hosted application. The company develop solutions for the media and entertainment industry.
We are looking for a C++ engineer who is highly analytical with a passion for problem solving. We need someone who is experienced within the full software development lifecycle and experienced with working within a dynamic fast-moving environment, and has experience developing solutions with C++, and has worked with deploying software solutions to AWS cloud based environments utilising CI/CD pipelines. We want someone who has a good understanding on how to tackle complex and mathematically challenging problems in software development and who can integrate algorithms into the cloud infrastructure.
We are happy for individuals to work full time remote or on a hybrid basis.
Key Requirements
Experience with developing C++
Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to rapidly understand complex algorithms and systems
Previous experience with the full development lifecycle
Experience working with either Unix or Linux Systems
Any experience with CI/CD and deployment pipelines
Experience with SCM concepts and Version Control systems, ideally GIT
Nice to have Skills
Previous experience with AWS cloud and cloud services such as (ECS, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda or S3)
Experience with computer vision processing libraries (especially OpenCV)
Any exposure to Docker
Any experience with Redis
Previous experience with message queues for example; RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or Beanstalk
Previous experience with image or video processing or related tools/technologies such as OpenGL or FFmpeg
