We are looking for a Team Leader to join our existing team of Nurses & carer’s at one of our care homes based in Pitchcombe, Stroud called Resthaven working 36 hours per week *Responsibilities of a Team Leader/Senior Care Assistant :* * To work with support and lead the team in the absence of the management team within the home. * Promoting a safe and caring environment providing the highest standards of quality care in accordance with the Charities Policies whilst meeting the needs of our residents * There’s a requirement to teach and lead by example our new staff members in all aspects of their work in the home. * You will aid and support the management team in the monitoring supervision and training of staff in the home. * Making a difference to each individual’s life in everything you do. * Encouraging residents to maintain their independence as fully as possible * Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing and feeding ensuring dignity and respect for the resident at all times * Helping and encouraging residents to undertake these tasks for themselves as appropriate. *Requirements* * A caring individual who is compassionate about providing care and support to elderly. * A genuine interest in working within a caring environment, to help people retain their dignity and respect their privacy. * Have a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) * A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a care setting * The ability to communicate effectively at all levels. * Work well in a team * Are flexible as shifts will include weekends and evenings on a rota basis. *Benefits of working with Lilian Faithfull Care:* * Competitive salaries * 40p an hour extra for medication trained staff * £7 an hour extra for staff trainers (Train the Trainer courses provided) * 40p an hour extra for staff working on the extra care wings * £1 per hour allowance for weekend working. * Training in many related topic and sponsored NVQ courses available. * 1 week of paid induction * Subsidised critical illness insurance. * Free Life Insurance x 2 of annual salary * Pension Contributions * Subsidised Meals. * Paid Breaks * Career Progression Matrix in place if you are looking for development.
