Job Description

With a main focus on the Digital side of our business, Rank Interactive the purpose of this role is to be a legal draftsperson, negotiator and advisor to the Rank Group in relation to its commercial agreements with existing and new suppliers.

The Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements for:
  • Digital gaming providers;
  • Sportsbook and sports data suppliers;
  • Platform partners, joint ventures and white label arrangements;
  • Digital content suppliers and payment providers;
  • IT, including SAAS, with SLAs (CRM, analytics, UX etc);
  • Other commercial arrangements, including marketing, machine supply and ad hoc matters;
  • Intercompany arrangements and agreements; and
  • Data Processing Agreements.
  • Advising on gaming regulatory matters (alongside a Compliance Team).
  • Advising on general commercial and compliance matters e.g. data protection (alongside a DPO), audit rights, indemnities and liability, anti-bribery, renewals and termination rights etc.
  • Drafting and maintaining precedent agreements and drafting standards.
  • Advising the marketing department in relation to its promotional activities (including affiliate arrangements).
  • Advising on IP issues and the Group’s trade mark and domain name portfolios.
  • Reviewing and amending consumer and affiliate terms and conditions.
  • Working with purchasing and Information Security in relation to tenders and supplier selection.
  • Managing external counsel where required.
  • Assisting Company Secretarial in corporate governance for UK and International subsidiaries.
Qualifications
  • Qualified practicing solicitor of 3-6 years+ PQE;
  • Strong private practice training;
  • Strong academics;
  • Private practice or in-house experience of advising on IT, digital and retail commercial matters
