Senior Compliance Officer (Investment Bank) - 9 Month FTC - REMOTE

Salary £120000 - £130000 per annum (Pro Rata - 9 Month FTC) Location London Type Permanent Sector Corporate Governance

Urgent Requirement: I am partnering with a leading European Financial Services business who is currently looking for a stellar Senior Compliance Officer (Investment Banking) to join their Compliance team based in Central London on a 9-month Fixed Term Contract. This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel on site, offering £120,000 - £130,000 per annum (pro rata).

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Compliance Policies and Procedures following relevant UK regulatory and legal requirements, regulations, and rules, in relation to investment banking
• Regulatory Advice and Queries to include best practice, the regulatory requirements of competent authorities, as well as compliance with internal procedures and directives.
• Compliance Monitoring and Risk Assessments, including reporting on identified weaknesses and monitoring implementation of agreed action points.
• Develop, organise and deliver regular business specific compliance training, targeted themed training, induction training and general awareness campaigns
• Working with Regulatory bodies, to collaborate with the relevant functions (such as Operations, Legal, etc) to provide an accurate and considered response

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Proven/current experience gained in investment banking of the following areas: UK, EU, AsiaPac and US (MAR, MiFID II, EMIR, FATCA, City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, Competition Law. Loan Market Association, Dodd-Frank, Volcker, etc)
• Proven experience of Front Office in an investment banking environment across a variety of business lines and products in particular private side business activities and products.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid organisation, and communication skills essential
