The role
Credit Risk Manager – SME is a key role in balancing asset growth with credit quality as part of achieving the group’s financial objectives.
With responsibility for over £1bn annual turnover portfolio, This role manages financial risk exposure related to credit activities including; Management and design of UK Credit Policy to cover all customer credit risk decisions. The team is responsible for 4,000 SME underwriting decisions per month around 550 are manual.
This position has primary responsibility for the financial risk exposure related to extending credit and shared responsibility for the overall credit risk portfolio profile of the entity. The role performs various functions in addressing credit-related issues, including but not limited to risk and underwriting guidelines, credit culture awareness, and credit strategy.
Reporting directly to the Head of Credit Risk and will be managing a team of 2-3 direct reports.

Pay and benefits:
Salary: Up to 75,000
Bonus: Up to 22%
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Contract type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 3 days a week in the office and 2 days at home
