Xpedition are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant/Developer to join its growing team. The main aspect of the role is to lead the technical design and requirements, documentation for new and / or existing projects. They will be accountable for the quality of work delivered against the estimate provided.

Responsibilities

The position of Senior Technical Consultant/Developer is a key role in the delivery of a solution to the customer. Working as part of the Customer Engagement team, you will:

  • Ensure that all technical work is produced in line with best practice and to a high standard
  • Can understand a customer's technical requirements and formulate and present ideas of how those requirements can be met
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities and estimation processes
  • Define work of others and monitor its quality
  • Help advance the team by coaching other team members
  • Collaborate on internal initiatives and be able to evidence innovation in their work
  • Provide technical analysis, produce technical design / solution and / or proof of concepts
  • Regularly participate in technical project meetings
  • Establish an effective direct relationship with client technical resources and project management team
  • Provide technical expertise and development support to the project managers and other project stakeholders. Identify any issues and form hypotheses for resolution
  • Configure and customise Dynamics 365 customer engagement to a high standard
  • Implement Power Platform features including Power Apps, Canvas Apps, Power BI, PCF (Power Apps Component framework), Power Automate and Power Pages
  • Develop Azure components including Logic Apps and Function Apps
  • Use .NET development tools to develop, extend and enhance Dynamics 365 including, Plug-ins, Custom Applications, APIs and Function Apps
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies and advise colleagues of developments

Knowledge,Skills &Experience

The candidate will have a proven track record as a senior technical consultant/developer with knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform features and will have previous Dynamics CRM consultancy and development experience up to the latest version.

Other essential skills are:

  • Experience of designing and developing Power Platform components such as Model driven apps, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages
  • Experience of designing integrated solutions
  • The ability to create design documents
  • Degree: preferably in an IT related subject, or equivalent relevant experience. Microsoft Certified Associate and 4 to 9 years' experience (guideline) and / or a developed specialism
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Dataverse and Model-driven Apps
  • Experience in developing PowerApps, both Model driven and Canvas Apps
  • Experience in automating business processes using Power Automate
  • Ability to create Custom Connectors for Power Automate, Logic Apps and Function Apps
  • Experience with Custom API and Rest services integrations and an understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and SSRS, to further enhance client solutions
  • Ability to design, architect and create integrations between Dynamics 365 and other applications
  • The ability to work well under pressure, both as part of the team and on own initiative
  • The ability to manage their workload and time according to deadlines set. Resourceful, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral – listen, understand, present and challenge
  • The desire to gain additional experience in other product areas
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and interface with business and technology partners

Personal Situation

  • Able to spend the occasional night away from home. Able to travel to Xpedition and / or customer offices. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
  • On occasion some international travel may be required
  • Candidate will have clean United Kingdom driving licence
