Job Description

Job Description The primary focus of this role is to lead the implementation of a robust Data Quality Checking framework that ensures critical data fields meet the required quality criteria when funding regulated and unregulated loans. The Data Quality Team was established earlier in 2024 to provide rigor over data quality of all new lending files. You will drive delivery of an already defined and detailed action plan to enhance the structure and control environment of the team.  Working with key stakeholders in the business they will deliver quality reporting outputs that provide assurance and identification of trends for remedial activity. What you’ll be doing day to day:  The role includes overseeing the work of the Data Quality Checking (DQC) team. Key responsibilities include the following: Strategic Development Create and implement a robust funding data quality checking framework Create and embed underlying procedures and templates / tools to support the team / activity. Relationship Management Build close working relationships with Senior Risk Business Partners, Group Treasury, Credit Risk, Underwriting teams, business analysts, and other key stakeholders Monitoring, Reporting, Issue Resolution Establish metrics and dashboards to monitor data quality and report findings to stakeholders Produce regular updates for key stakeholders Having identified data quality issues work with business areas to resolve them Provide guidance on training and resources to colleagues on data quality best practices Input into analysis, challenge and reporting to drive continuous improvement in relevant business area risk management Qualifications Experience working with data in a Financial Services environment Experience of securitisation facilities Comfortable getting hands-on as well as thinking strategically Technical and non technical experience working together and collaborating with business partners Familiar with working with data and analysing results Worked closely with AI teams and a good understanding of how AI can be applied to data checking   About You You will be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders to ensure that they take responsibility for data quality and look at their own processes with a critical eye.
