Job Description

Full-time, permanent contract at 35 hours per week.

Closing date: 21 March 2023 (Please note that ActionAid UK will potentially interview candidates prior to the closing date so encourage you to apply early. We look forward to learning about your skills and experience.)

ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.

As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

We are looking for a Senior Donor Compliance Specialist with significant experience and in-depth knowledge of donor requirements (particularly financial and contractual regulations and codes of conduct), to take the lead on contractual and compliance requirements for ActionAid UK’s donors. This is a high profile role within ActionAid UK's International Development Policy and Practice (IDPP) unit. The role works across both the Business Development (BD) and Programme Quality & Assurance (PQA) teams, to help build a compliant pipeline of grant proposals and commercial tenders, and to ensure AAUK’s grants and contracts are managed effectively. It will also advise the senior management team and other stakeholders on emerging contractual and compliance changes, and work with teams across the organisation to drive preparedness. The post-holder will bring strong contracting and compliance acumen, attention to detail, good negotiation skills and a spirit of collaboration to ActionAid UK (AAUK) as it delivers on its new 5-year Strategy- Together with women and girls.

ActionAid is committed to supporting flexible working. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, including the possibility of a job share for this role, there will be space to do so during the interview process.

We are committed to continually improving the diversity of our workforce and therefore encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQI+ community, the trans community, and those with a disability.
