Senior Ecologist - Up to £50,000 DOE + Great Benefits! Location: Chester, UK Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE (Depending on Experience) Benefits: Strong benefits package, flexible working, generous annual leave. Are you an established Ecological Consultant eager for a new challenge? Do you have the desire to develop your team and provide them with your knowledge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join an industry leader in landscape architecture! You will be liaising with both the architecture and engineering teams and conduct a key role in managing the expanding ecology team, whilst obtaining new business and maintaining various projects with industry leading ecological detail. Responsibilities: Team Management: Grow, manage, and support the ecology team within the studio. Ecological Input: Provide expert ecological input for planning applications, conduct field surveys, and write comprehensive reports. Business Development: Identify and develop opportunities to expand our services, write fee proposals, manage budgets, and control project programs. About You: Experienced Consultant: Proven track record in ecological consultancy with excellent organizational and goal-oriented skills. Innovative Thinker: Proactive, solutions-focused, and willing to go the extra mile, with a strong eye for detail and articulate communication skills. Committed to Growth: Dedicated to personal and professional development, with a passion for sharing knowledge. Experience & Qualifications: Educational Background: Degree in Ecology or a related subject with significant project delivery experience. Professional Membership: Member of a professional body such as CIEEM or CIWEM, licensed for at least one protected species. Sector Knowledge: Robust understanding of the ecology sector, survey schedules, and ecological reporting. Benefits: Competitive Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE.
