The Role
Are you a professional IT problem solver? Are you a dab hand in Management Information Systems? If so, we may have an exciting new opportunity for you.
Cantium are looking for a Senior Education Systems Consultant to provide support and training to our key Education customers surrounding their MIS Systems – in particular SIMS, Arbor and Bromcom systems. The successful candidate will ensure our customers get the most out of the MIS systems and update knowledge articles to share information to the wider team. They will provide advice and guidance to junior colleagues and schools to enable them to carry out their day-to-day duties.
This role would suit an experienced team player with a background in either a Education environment or within an MIS Application Support team. Experience in one or more of SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom MIS systems is highly desirable.

Key Duties
- Identify and rectify problems with supported applications, ensuring that every request is handled in compliance with established protocols. This can entail setting up a call with unaffiliated vendors.
- Deep dive into IT issues or requests from the customer, identify what steps are required to assist to Education employees carry out tasks.
- Provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues, where required, and may be required to mentor junior members of the team.
- Communicate with software providers or systems development personnel, regarding the creation of system improvements with the intention of resolving issues.
What we need from you
- Excellent knowledge of one or more modules on any of the three MIS supported systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom)
- Experience of working in a school/educational environment
- Significant experience of working in a customer service environment
- Experience of delivering MIS application support
- Good knowledge and understanding of the core modules of the supported MIS software
