We are excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Consultant to join a well-known and respected consultancy with offices throughout the UK. Our client, a visionary in the industry, has strategically invested in the team's growth over the past two years. Renowned for advising local building surveying teams nationwide, they provide consultancy services covering feasibility studies to full detailed design across diverse sectors in both private and public domains.
Role Overview: Joining as a Senior Electrical Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the team. This role promises an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to a variety of projects, all while ensuring continuous professional development within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Electrical design consultancy duties, including engineering feasibility studies, production of performance and full design information in line with RIBA stages, project quality monitoring (M&E), witness testing, and commissioning. Efficiently carry out assigned duties in accordance with processes and procedures.
- Produce technical specifications and equipment schedules.
- Attend project client and design team meetings.
- Conduct site visits, perform visual inspections of Electrical systems, and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Utilize computer-aided design and design calculation software.
- Engage with other work streams within the business unit.
- Incorporate or advise on energy efficiency and carbon reduction opportunities for projects.
- Play an integral role in the team, contributing to the commercial and contractual performance of projects.
- Ensure value for money is achieved in all project circumstances.
Personal Specification: We are seeking a candidate who:
- Demonstrates a positive proactive approach to the role, with a commitment to building the M&E design offering.
- Holds engineering/building services/electrical professional qualification in design (HNC/Degree).
- Brings experience within an established building services consultancy.
- Belongs to a professional/industry body (CIBSE/IET/Engineering Council).
- Is an effective communicator with colleagues and clients.
- Exhibits strong organizational, diligence, proactive, disciplined, and commercially astute attributes.
- Is passionate about sustainable engineering and possesses experience with decarbonization M&E projects.
