Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centres

Central London (Hybrid Working Available)

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for innovative design and a knack for solving complex challenges? Our client, a prestigious multidisciplinary consultancy based in central London, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge hyperscale data centre projects across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the electrical design process for hyperscale data centres, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
Develop detailed electrical designs, including UPS, Generators, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and security systems.
Conduct site inspections and assessments worldwide to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Prepare and present project documentation, reports, and design calculations.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
Extensive experience in electrical design engineering in a UK based consultancy, with a focus on data centre projects. (Other critical systems design experience will be considered)
Proficiency in using design software such as Dialux, Amtech and ETAP
Strong understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
