Embedded Linux Software Engineer sought by Birmingham based Technical Consultancy to take responsibility for leading BSP development on complex client projects. Hybrid working available.
Youll be Degree qualified, have good commercial experience of Embedded (Yocto/OpenEmbedded) Linux and possess strong C/C++ skills. Salary toC£65K + generous Bonus scheme.
With projects ranging from 1-3 months duration; as part of a Consultancy youll be very much customer facing - working with industrial, automotive, security, agriculture and entertainment customers, fronting technical discussions and supporting clients through the process.
Essential experience for the Embedded Linux Software Engineer:
Ideally several years commercial experience.
University education with a good Degree ideally from a respected institution.
Embedded (Yocto) Linux ( ARM typically) software development.
Driver development including bootloader, kernel and driver development.
Experience with embedded CPUs.
Strong C/C++ skills.
Good customer facing and communication skills.
