Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London broough Council who are seeking an Employment Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further detailsd with regards to this role.
ROLE: Senior Employment Lawyer / Employment Lawyer
LOCATION: London / home working
RATE: £45.00 to £55.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 6 months with possibility of extension
Please note that this position would require office attendance 1 or 2 times per month.
The Role of the Employment Lawyer
To manage and progress full caseload of a varied mix of Employment (and some education )matters through to completion
Matters will include the settling of pleadings, preparation for hearings, provision of advice and representation of the Council in all courts, Tribunals and Inquiries
Hearings will predominantly be onlineThe Person
A qualified Solicitor, legal Executive or Barrister with a current practising certificate
Dealing with Employment Law within a public sector organisation would be essential for this position
Previous education experience would be advantageous, but this can be developedThe Benefits
