What you'll be doing

  • Ensuring that Contractors and Consultants delivering Capital projects for Thames Water comply with our Scope requirements, Asset standards, Legislation, and expectations for design, following our delivery process model ensuring compliance with CDM Regs, along with Health, Safety, and Welfare.
  • Working under the direction of a Principal Engineer, the role is part of the intelligent client model Thames Water needs to be able to achieve its capital investment ambitions in AMP7 and beyond. Focusing on the Engineering discipline, the role will provide the expertise needed to:
  • Oversee the development of several projects to meet defined needs with best-value solutions at various Sewage Treatment Works within the Thames Valley.
  • Understand and mitigate project Risks to reduce Programme and Project delivery Costs.
  • Provide Design sign-off between the Asset Management and Capital Delivery departments as the selected Delivery Stream dictates
  • Provide Technical Assurance for projects during the Delivery, Commissioning, and handover of Assets
We're looking for you to
  • Engineering HNC or above
  • Degree in a specific Engineering discipline
  • Experience developing technical project solutions and/or Briefs in their specific discipline
  • Understanding of project delivery in process industries
  • Understanding of H&S in the Construction industry, Particularly CDM
  • Competent in Wastewater and Sludge Processes.
  • Understanding of industrial processes in their Engineering discipline
