Senior ETL Developer - Informatica Developer / Specialist with some Snowflake £500 per day -12 month contract Outside ir35.
Currently remote - but will need to be UK based and able to visit London office from time to time as project requires.
Our Global client with multiple business areas including a hugely successful retail and media division, is seeking a Senior ETL Developer who is an Informatica PowerCenter Specialist, providing both ETL development and also Informatica maintenance and upgrades on legacy applications . In addition to strong Informatica and SQL Server experience our client is also looking for some experience in Snowflake cloud data platform (or training in Snowflake) to help on an ongoing cloud first project. The Senior ETL Developer will be working with a small data team, working across EMEA data integration projects, particularly for their invoice reporting systems but also retail and direct to consumer data. The team is also implementing a Cloud first strategy going forward and so the developer will be able to gain more Snowflake and AWS experience as part of this, and utilise scripting skills like Python / Java. As this is a small team you will need to be adaptable and flexible and have experience across the Development Lifecycle, able to take requirements, build proof of concept ETL solutions, maintain and support existing ETL Processes.
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
Mandatory
-At least 5-10 years' current core experience with Informatica PowerCenter (version 7 on) is required including Repository Manager/Admin Console.
-Best Practice Design Expertise, development and management of Informatica PowerCenter deployments
-Extensive experience of Informatica PowerCenter design, development and support
-Experienced in Informatica PowerCenter system administration
-At least 5 years' experience of SQL Server (Version 8 onwards) and various SQL Server tools such as Master Data Services
-At least 2 years' experience of Snowflake ELT development and support - ideally up to Advanced training level. Experienced in various complementary development tools such as Java and Python
- Experience in using and developing XML, XSD, XSL, JSON and web services
- Experience in VB script.
- Experience of Star Schema Design and build
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrable presentation and influencing skills
- Experience of delivering business critical solutions
Desirable
- Experience of Business Analysis and Business Relationship Management would be desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum as a project methodology would be desirable.
- Experience of SSIS would be desirable.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP security
