Oversee the delivery and development of Demelza’s fantastic events calendar that engages supporters and provides an effective platform for multiple fundraising efforts.
Who we are.
Demelza is a charity and hospice established in 1994 by Derek and Jennifer Phillips, dedicated to providing care across the areas where we are now well established. Our Patron, the Countess of Burma, opened our hospice in Sittingbourne, Kent, in 1998. We have since expanded our services to include therapies, respite, and end-of-life care, ensuring that families receive support in a comfortable environment.
About the role.
The Senior Events Manager will oversee the delivery and development of Demelza’s events calendar, which includes challenge events, virtual events, carol concerts, and family events like Bubble Rush. Responsibilities include design and delivery, pre-planning, budgeting, marketing, stewardship, post-event activity, and evaluation to be carried out to a high standard.
The post holder will work on various event management projects and tasks and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The Senior Events Manager will also be responsible for two Senior Events Executives and lead the team, looking to add more events to the calendar that will thrill supporters and provide fantastic platforms for fundraising.
