Our client is a niche high street practice currently specialising in employment law and civil litigation. They are looking to expand their range of legal to provide family law advice to private paying clients. They are looking for an experienced family law solicitor or legal executive to help set up and run the new department. This role would be suitable for a current Head of Family Law or an experienced and ambitious solicitor looking for progression.



Responsibilities




  • To undertake the role of family law solicitor.
  • To undertake fee earning family work.
  • To work with the Partner on business development plans and marketing strategies to grow the function, attract new clients and build the client database.
  • Ensure that all processes and practices comply with relevant policies and standards.


You will focus on:




  • Divorce
  • Cohabitation
  • TOLATA claims
  • Children - living arrangement and other issues
  • Children - financial provision
  • Financial Claims and settlements
  • Asset/Wealth protection
  • Domestic abuse
  • Injunctions


Requirements




  • Ideally 5+ years PQE
  • Aptitude in client-facing matters and exceptional communication skills.
  • The ability to empathise while remaining professional.
  • The ability to explain legal matters to clients with little or no legal knowledge.
  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills
  • Team Management
  • High attention to detail.


Salary



£40,000 - £60,000
