Job Description
My client is a well known UK body who's primary purpose is to offer protection to Financial Services customers nationwide.
This is a management level role, to act as the senior finance business partner to three critical divisions (Operations, Change and Data and Technology), fostering a proactive and
supportive
relationship with senior level stakeholders. The role also oversees the Junior Business Partner.
Key Accountabilities
- Promote the development of resource plans and expense Budgets and re-forecasts based on the Business Plan and claims forecast updates to established deadlines, challenging the business to achieve value for money
- Provide analysis, insight and commentary on information in comparison with forecasts, plans and Budgets, identifying, investigating and clearly explaining trends, variances
- Rigorously monitor cost actuals to budget and engage with customers in the effective management of budgets and in associated opportunity and risk assessments
- Build and manage the relationships with the key senior level stakeholders, both internal and external
- Recommendations on potential risks and opportunities which could impact business objectives/deliverables.
Experience and Skills
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or equivalent
- Experience of working in a Finance Team in a complex organisation
- Knowledge of financial services industry
- Significant experience of producing and communicating monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Experience of identifying and making suggestions for improvements to systems
- Experience of working with IT and accounting systems (preferably Sun) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including graphing
