Job Description

We are supporting a Multi-Academy Trust to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner for the London Region. The role is paying £80,000 - £89,000 + attractive benefits.

This Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) consists of a mixture of Secondary, Primary and Provision Schools across the UK. In total, they have c40 schools within the MAT. The Trust prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming.

Responsibilities:

• Lead on the financial planning and budgetary control for the Region.
• Accountable for the Region's financial resources.
• Provide leadership and support for all financial matters for the London Academies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and regular budget re-forecasts.
• Ensure all ESFA requirements are met.
• Proactively work with key stakeholders across the schools to assist with developing plans and mitigating risks.
• Assist with coaching and mentoring finance and administrative staff within the schools.
• Liaise with the Principals and Headteachers on risk and procurement policies.
• Contribute to financial policies, procedures and systems improvements.
• Regularly engage with Local Authorities to secure appropriate funding for AP and SEND provisions.
• Lead on funding applications for AP and SEND Projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA), CGMA/CIMA or equivalent qualified.
• Hold a Degree Level Qualification.
• Previous experience working within the Education, School or Local Authority sectors.
• Knowledge of ESFA regulations and guidelines.
• Business Partnering, financial support and guidance experience is critical.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Financial appraisal experience.
• Leadership and operational management experience.

£80,000 - £89,000 (inclusive of London Weighting).

LGPS or TPS pension.
