The Senior Finance Manager role sits within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) within Group Cost Management and reports to the Head of Finance for Planning and Analysis. As a senior leader, you'll work closely with the Finance Business Partners to deliver financial information on behalf of the Group Executive Functions areas. You'll provide appropriate challenge and guidance to assist the Finance Business Partners in guiding their business areas to make the right financial choices and you will focus on the performance and development of your direct reports.
A dynamic and adaptable leader with a passion for colleague development and delivering high quality, continuously improving outputs to customers. You will be comfortable providing feedback to colleagues and Finance Business Partners, working at pace to meet deadlines.
You will be a qualified accountant with an in depth understanding of planning and analysis activities and experience in leading a team to deliver at pace and to a high standard. You will possess excellent communication and relationship building skills to allow you to communicate with stakeholders, colleagues and peers and you will be able to form relationships quickly to enable you to deliver effectively and collaboratively.
You will be someone who is happy operating in a Finance-to-Finance capacity and you will be a team player who is able to offer support to your peers and contribute to wider Group Cost Management Team initiatives.
You will have an excellent eye for detail but will also be able to see the 'bigger picture' and have an ability to quickly identify potential problems and the associated wider implications. You will be an adept problem solver, identifying solutions or mitigations to issues.
Our team is based in the Edinburgh hub, so you will be based within a commutable distance to this hub. We operate a hybrid model (at least 2 days in the office), enabling colleagues to experience the benefits of time in the same location as their colleagues while also entrusting colleagues with choice about how, when and where they work, to deliver their very best.
