Responsibilities:


  1. Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analyses to evaluate business performance, assess trends, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Improve existing and develop new financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to analyse and interpret financial data, providing actionable insights


  1. Budget Execution Tracking:
  • Monitor and track budget execution against financial plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
  • Engage with business unit leaders to understand variances, providing recommendations for course correction
  • Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of budgeting processes and controls


  1. Cost Savings Identification and Governance:
  • In-depth cost analysis across various business functions
  • Implement and maintain governance mechanisms to track and execute cost-saving initiatives


  1. Billing and Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor and track the status of all invoices, identifying and addressing any discrepancies
  • Support cash collection function, collaborating with relevant teams to expedite payment processes
  • Assist in developing and maintaining accurate cash flow forecasts to support liquidity management and treasury function.


  1. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, reporting standards, and relevant accounting principles.
  • Support internal and external audits.


  1. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate financial insights and analyses effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Assist in communication with external partners, auditors, and regulatory bodies as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administrations or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA is required.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations and reporting standards.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Understanding and experience in dealing with a multi-currency environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
  • Preferably experience in financial analysis for SaaS or tech.


Salary: £43,000 - £58,000 DOE
