Senior Infrastructure Engineer Windows Server / Azure - REMOTE
*18 month fixed term contract - paid via PAYE
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the design and maintenance of all physical and virtual infrastructure, enterprise storage, and cloud technologies focusing on Office365 and Azure. As the design authority, you will work closely with all levels of computer users, support staff, and outside vendors to understand, evaluate, and resolve server and network technical support issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:
Provide 3rd Line infrastructure support to Our Clients users within the defined SLAs, prioritizing workload and managing conflict resolution.
Ensure that detailed documentation is in place for all infrastructure systems in the live production and test environments to enable existing and new team members to support Our Clients infrastructure.
Optimize the use of all resources to keep costs low and maintain safety in the workplace, and proactively research and pursue opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency of the server support function.
Work with 2nd line and the Service Desk in incident resolution and problem management, providing guidance and knowledge transfer for specific tasks.
Ensure that all systems and support are aligned with technical and business requirements by collaborating with the 3rd Line application and network teams.
Work with external partners and member organizations to develop shared projects and solutions.
Project a positive and can-do attitude to users and managers throughout the organization, and work within a culture of internal customer focus, customer service, and excellence.
Work within a team culture and processes to meet targets for continuous improvement of server support delivery, quality, and continuous cost reduction.
Provide technical input and perspective in project work as required.
Other duties as required in line with skills, experience, and role.

Proficiency in managing and configuring AD, DFS, DNS, Group Policy, ADFS, etc.;
Microsoft Hyper-V clustering;
VMware ESXi clustering;
Microsoft Office 365: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business;
Backup/Disaster Recovery Products;
Anti-Virus Products;
Microsoft RDS/VDI Deployments;
Microsoft Azure technologies including Azure ADDS, VMs, Enterprise apps, Storage accounts, Virtual networks, B2B, etc.;
PowerShell management/scripting
Enterprise Storage Systems (EMC/Nimble/SolidFire);
IBM/Lenovo, HP, or Dell enterprise servers. IBM HS2x blades or similar.
